A lot of walking, but there are trams. Once we got a feel for the place…we were fine. Beautiful infinity pool, private palapas, GREAT food!

I really enjoyed my stay at the resort and the staff was awesome. I enjoyed the walks through the jungle while goingto the beautiful pools and various restarants...definitely no problem with the great food. The resort is huge but transportation is spot on. I did have a problem with my room as beautiful as it was. I wish there could have been a better stocked kitchen with something as simple as coffee and the fixings especially on the first morning and you don't know where to buy groceries. There was only decaf and no creamer even if powdered. The other issue I has was noise. I was awakened more than once before dawn with very loud talking by my neighbors. It isn't fun being awakened while it is still dark outside. It seems like the walls could be a little more soundproof because going on vacation means fun as well as rest. The people above were also noisy walking back and forth which almost sounded like stomping. I don't mean to be petty about the noise. I just felt disappointed. Overall, I highly recommend this resort. I truly believe everyone worked very hard to make everyone comfortable.

Well appointed, clean and very large property dropped or cut right into the jungle as it appears Pools, food, restaurants, spa all exceptional and expensive. They have a captive audience. Staff are professional and attentive for the most part. It's nice to sign everything to the room thus no need to lug around wallets and bags. The wood walk ways are unique and allow a feeling of being in the jungle. However, Getting around the property is confusing and inconvenient, not to mention long walks, especially if get lost or on wrong pathway and various transfers to get where one needs to go when riding the trolleys. Allow extra time, don't be in a hurry. The check in process was 2 hours long which included being shuffled from one trolley to another and one reception or lobby area to another. I believe we went thru three. Then once checked in, finally taken to our room. The check out, at least 1 hour. She tried to charge the MXN Pesos as US $$ but at the Pesos amount. Of course card declined that large amount. When I explained to her what she did, she corrected it but did not apologize or acknowledge her mistake. Jungala was a great day with a Premium Cabana. Cabanas by the main pool are free if you purchase $40 US or more from the waiter. Use the app to see daily specials. COVID testing was simple, fast and easy for those returning to the US. Overall this is great place to vacation, just expensive, difficult to get around and long check in/out times. Room service was awesome, a must do when on vacation and want a relaxing stay in. Rated it 4 stars due to the check in process and difficulty of getting around. Do your research and plan out your stay if you want to enjoy all there is to offer or wing it. Also, keep all your receipts to compare. We found some over charges and now have to dispute for the correct charges. Tips are automatically charged but feel free to take dollar bills for additional tipping: wait staff, bartenders, bellhops, housekeeping, shuttle drivers, room service, spa etc.
